Didn't want to post this in the Left 4 Dead thread in the Xbox forum, to avoid confusion. But this weekend you can get the game at 50% off for 25 bucks on Steam. I just got my Tax Returns, so I jumped on it, I'm downloading it now. I know my younger brother plays it a lot, and my older brother was thinking about getting it. Wondering if anyone else has it, or is planning on jumping on the deal.

Though I would have posted in the First Person Shooter section, it doesn't matter because this is such hot information I'm moving it to news!

I have it on Xbox 360 because a ton of my friends do as well. I would prefer it on PC but I'm not going to spend 25 bucks on a game I already own. QQ

Oh it was in the wrong forum, but News works too.
Yeah, I can understand that Grug. 25 bucks is one sweet deal though. It's funny because I was just talking to my Brother who was asking if I was going to pick up the game, and I was like, "Maybe if it gets to 30 bucks, otherwise Fallout is next on my list." Then bam, a few days later I randomly click through the deals on Steam and see it there. |

It's an awesome game, so much fun with 2-4 players. They announced the downloadable content for it as well. It unlocks versus (teams alternate playing as survivors and "special" zombies) mode on the remaining 2 maps (yea versus is only available on 2 of the 4 currently) and adds a new mode called "survival". Not sure what that is about yet, but the content is going to be free for PC and Xbox users.

Wow, I've been busy this weekend, but I HAD to at least try the game out for a bit, so I just jumped in and played like 20 minutes of a random mission, and it was fun as hell. I can only imagine playing with some friends all screaming at each other. Genius game concept, or more, game design, it has you constantly paranoid about zombies rushing you from any direction at any time.
Fun stuff. |

Gaaaah. If hl2.exe worked on my computer, I would have jumped at this opportunity. Dammit.

Yes, the 100% randomness of the zombie attacks is what makes it so awesome. The missions never play out the same. I will admit only 4 maps is a bit limited but its just a matter of time until they release more. My favorite is Blood Harvest, try it out if you haven't yet. |
