You don't really need the slide buttons, honestly. I play guitar on expert and I never use them, just because I'm more likely to mess up by switching hand position twice for getting into and out of a solo, than I am to screw up by continuing to strum, like I had for the rest of the song.

Yea I'm playing World Tour with the GH3 controller (no slider buttons). I will say this however...I am on my second Les Paul controller (the one that comes with GH3) and it is getting progressively worse. The green button will stop working at random intervals for anywhere from 5-10 seconds. The detachable neck on the Les Paul's caused problems with button response. My first one did it after like a month, and now my second one has done it after a year.
Not sure if they fixed that problem with the new World Tour controllers. |

This is why I'm still sporting the Guitar Hero 2 guitar.

Sadly, I had GH2 on PS2, so I can't use it on the new ones. I'd love to know if they are planning on releasing the World Tour guitar for sale by itself anytime soon. |

Yeah, I figured the slide thing was more of a gimmick than anything else, but I loved the idea of being able to play slap-bass.
